Death Toll at 1,900 and Climbing in Turkey, Syria after Disastrous 7.8 Magnitude Quake https://ift.tt/6rYzVZj A deadly magnitude 7.8 earthquake rocked southeastern Turkey and northern Syria early Monday morning. The death toll stands at more than 1,900, but that is expected to continue to rise.The earthquake was felt as far away as Egypt and Israel. Thousands of buildings either toppled or collapsed in ruins throughout cities and towns on both sides of the Turkish-Syrian border.
